Job Description: Level 1 IT Support

Overview:

As a Level 1 IT Support Technician, you will be the first point of contact for users experiencing technical difficulties. You will provide prompt and effective troubleshooting to resolve issues, ensuring seamless operations within the organization.

 Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and resolve common IT issues, such as hardware malfunctions, software problems, network connectivity, and printer errors.
    • Provide technical support for various software applications and systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve basic desktop and laptop issues.
  • Help Desk:
    • Respond promptly to incoming support requests via phone and email.
    • Document and track all support incidents in the help desk system.
    • Provide clear and concise explanations to users regarding technical issues and solutions.
  • Hardware and Software Management:
    • Support the setup and configuration of Windows, Chrome, and iOS hardware and software.
    • Maintain and update software licenses and inventory.
  • User Training:
    • Provide basic training and guidance to users on the use of IT systems and applications.
    • Create and maintain user documentation and guides.
  • Other Duties:
    • Perform other IT-related tasks as assigned.

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on patience and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, ChromeOS).
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+).
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems.
  • Willingness to learn & try new things.
