Major Responsibilities and Duties: - Attend all meetings of the Board of Education; take and transcribe the minutes.
- Maintains assigned records and prepares reports for the Board of Education.
- Prepares meetings and uploads documents in Board Docs.
- Serves as administrative assistant to the Superintendent.
- Manages Superintendents calendar and independently schedules appointments.
- Screens incoming calls and correspondence and responds independently when possible.
- Supports and manages communication from the superintendents office.
- Arranges programs, events or conferences by arranging for facilities and caterers, issuing information or invitations, coordinating speakers and controlling event budget.
- Directs preparation and filing of legal documents to conform to State statues.
- Takes and transcribes dictation, and composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports and other complex documents.
- Creates and maintains database and spreadsheet files.
- Maintains and organizes district permanent records such as tort claims, grievances, judgements, complaints, agreements, public notices, election documentation, contracts, and leases as directed by the Superintendent.
- Arranges complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries, compiles documents for travel-related meetings.
- Serve as the district Freedom of Information Officer.
- Oversight and Management of an active social media presence.
- Prepares documents and minutes for Interest-Based Bargaining (IBB).
- Prepares/Directs preparation of KASB Research Data.
- Compiles and manages district and building professional memberships.
- Demonstrate the ability to implement decisions made by the superintendent and/or board that are in the best interests of the district, but may be unpopular with various individuals or groups within the district.
- Demonstrate the ability to interpret and implement district policies and procedures in a rational and consistent manner.
- Maintains District Handbooks.
- Maintains Board Policies.
- Serve as a Committee Member for Renwick Educational Foundation.
- Abide by District, State, and Federal policies, laws, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Excellent organization skills. Strong communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. - PC literacy (Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Publisher)
