Gifted Education Paraprofessional Location: Baldwin and Wellsville School DistrictsSchedule:Full-time]Reports To: Gifted Education Teacher / Building Administrators/ECKCE Administration Position Summary The Gifted Education Paraprofessional supports gifted students by assisting with instruction, materials preparation, and program organization. Working under the guidance and supervision of a licensed gifted education teacher, the paraprofessional helps implement lessons, supports student learning activities, and assists with clerical and organizational tasks related to gifted services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide instructional support to gifted students in individual or small-group settings under the direction of the gifted education teacher Assist with implementing enrichment activities and differentiated learning experiences Prepare instructional materials, resources, and classroom supplies Support students during lessons by reinforcing concepts and encouraging engagement Assist with documentation, data collection, and organization of paperwork related to gifted services Help maintain student records and program materials Collaborate with the gifted education teacher and other staff as needed Perform other duties as assigned to support the gifted education program Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or college coursework preferred Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred Ability to follow instructional plans and guidance provided by a licensed teacher Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Positive communication and collaboration skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Interest in working with gifted and high-ability learners Ability to support differentiated instruction and enrichment activities Basic computer skills for documentation and material preparation Flexibility and willingness to learn new practices Work Environment This position works in classroom and small-group settings and may require movement between buildings, classrooms and districts.
