Director of Application Services

Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Digital Transformation and CIO, the Application Services Director will provide strategic leadership, supervision, and mentoring to the Application Services team, including the support and development of technical knowledge and professional development of team members through daily communication and regular performance reviews. This position is responsible for the design, delivery, operations, and support of the enterprise application environment and ecosystem that supports and enables Butler Community Colleges strategic goals and technology priorities. The Director of Application Services serves as a senior technical and planning advisor to the Vice President of Digital Transformation and CIO and other divisional leaders in matters relating to the execution of the departments and the colleges strategic vision and priorities. Additionally, this position collaborates regularly with the Information Services Leadership team on organizational design, strategic planning, policy creation, and the development / rollout of process methodologies. While cultivating a customer focused and responsive team that encourages individual initiative, collaboration, and innovation, the Director of Application Services will maintain a balanced focus between operational excellence and transformational change. The best candidate for this position will possess excellent leadership skills, effective verbal and written communication, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to work strategically as a team to achieve a common goal, all while demonstrating a high standard of professionalism.
