At-Risk Coordinator/Aide  Canton-Galva USD 419 is seeking qualified applicants for the 2025-26 school year.  This person proctors our distance learning lab students, provides educational supports/assistance to students, and assists in facilitating/proctoring student academic screenings and assessments.  We may also have coaching or sponsorship vacancies for both junior and senior high sports, as well.   If interested in this position, please complete the online application on  jobs.educatekansas.org or the classified application on our district website.

Benefits Information

The district will provide a Flexible Fringe Benefit Program, Cafeteria Section 125 Salary Reduction option for all employees. Previous fringe benefit amounts are now included in the salary schedule. The Salary Reduction Plan will include the following: (1) Health & Dental Insurance, (2) Cancer Insurance-Accidental Life, and (3) American Fidelity Assurances package to include all of the available options. The Board paid health insurance contribution will be $590.00 per month for the 2024-25 school year.  

All Certified and Classified employees who work a minimum of twenty (20) hours per week are eligible to participate. The district teachers and their families will be issued passes for all home district activities, with the exception of money-making projects of school organizations and KSHSAA post-season events. USD 419 wellness center is provided free of charge to employees and families.

Salary Information

Classified Position, full-time, hourly rate depending upon experience, and qualifications.

Canton-Galva is a small rural school located in the heart of Kansas. We serve students grades Pre-K - 12 grade. Our grade levels range in size from 13 - 31 students. The staff at Canton-Galva are a mix of youth and experience but all are hard working, caring individuals who do what is best for the students. They are willing to spend the time and energy that it requires to help students learn. The various committees that teachers serve on are very active and responsible for the success of the students. Both communities are great places to raise children. Our location serves us very well. We are only a short drive to McPherson, Salina, Wichita, Hutchinson, Emporia, Manhattan and only 2.5 hours from Kansas City. The lakes, campgrounds, golf courses, theaters and shopping areas all within a short distance. Hunting, fishing, and other recreational activities are available for those who wish to participate.
