Position Overview:
USD 210 is seeking an innovative and dedicated educational leader to serve as High School Principal at Hugoton High School. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering academic excellence, building strong relationships with students, staff, and the community, and preparing students for success in college, careers, and life. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team of educators in a community that values education and the development of future leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide visionary leadership to promote high levels of student achievement.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school culture.

Supervise and evaluate instructional practices to ensure high-quality teaching.

Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum and programs aligned with district and state standards.

Engage parents, students, staff, and community stakeholders in the educational process.

Manage school operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Support student well-being and ensure a safe and effective learning environment.

Promote professional growth and development for faculty and staff.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Educational Leadership or related field.

Current Kansas Building Leadership License or eligibility to obtain one.

Demonstrated experience in school administration or leadership.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Commitment to fostering a student-centered learning environment.

Knowledge of current educational trends, data-driven decision-making, and instructional practices.
