Qualifications should include a current building administrative license or substantial academic work towards achieving that license. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, scheduling, curriculum development, personnel management, emergency procedures, facility operations, and teaching a portion of the day in the candidate's area of expertise. This position could be ideal for an individual just entering the field of school administration or someone who desires to work in a slower-paced environment in a very small school and make a huge difference. Employer Information Western Plains USD 106 is a unique district that is the result of two consolidations. Schools are located in Bazine and Ransom, with the towns of Arnold, Brownell, and Utica also represented. Our district features outstanding facilities, dedicated staff, supportive communities, and innovative thinking. We are a small Class 1A school, with more than 130 students enrolled in our district. This allows for an excellent student to teacher ratio as well as the opportunity to individualize and customize educational opportunities for students. Our junior high and high school are members of the Western Kansas Liberty League and compete in 6-man football, basketball, volleyball, golf and track as well as providing opportunities for our students through KAYS, FFA, FBLA, art, music, forensics, journalism, robotics and scholars bowl.
