Head High School Football Coach

Valley Falls High School seeks a dynamic and dedicated Head Football Coach to lead the Dragons. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for developing student-athletes, and a commitment to building a competitive program that grows and develops participants into driven, successful individuals on and off the field. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive football program. Instruct and train student-athletes in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical conditioning necessary for athletic competition. Foster a positive, inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, teamwork, personal growth, and a burning desire to succeed on and off the field. Plan and supervise team practices, games, and other related activities. Collaborate with school administration, athletic department, and other coaches to support the overall mission of Valley Falls High School. Ensure compliance with all school, district, and Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) regulations. Qualifications: Personal commitment to excellence in leading others. Previous coaching experience at the high school level or higher is preferred. Strong knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules. Strong knowledge of strength and conditioning techniques and strategies. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes. Commitment to fostering a safe and positive environment for all athletes. Teaching certification is preferred but not required.
