District Information: Unified School District No. 374`s 2023-2024 enrollment is 377 students in Pre-K - 12. These students are in one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school. All district schools are fully accredited. There are 44 faculty members, supported by a classified staff of 43. The district is large enough to offer a balanced approach to academics and fine arts, yet small enough to permit a low teacher:student ratio. Our curriculum consists of 65 traditional class offerings, with an additional 70 available through virtual classroom instruction. The district offers a wide range of student activities, including: Scholar`s Bowl, football, track, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, cross-country, and boys and girls golf. The district participates in the High Plains Educational Cooperative, which serves the special education needs of 17 school districts in Southwest Kansas. USD 374 is a Charter Member of the Southwest Plains Regional Service Center, which serves 29 school districts and two special education cooperatives in the area. Each classroom has internet access, with 1 to 1 Chromebooks for each class, and each building houses a fully equipped computer lab. Classrooms are also equipped with a SmartBoard and LCD projection unit.
Community Information: Sublette, Haskell County Seat, is a community of approximately 1400 residents. It is located at the intersection of US Hwy 83 and US Hwy 56, and is 35 miles south of Garden City, 30 miles north of Liberal, and 50 miles west of Dodge City. The economy is primarily driven by agriculture, cattle, and the oil and gas industry. The close proximity to Garden City Community College, Seward County Community College, Southwest Kansas Technical School and Dodge City Community College offers many opportunities for continuing education and cultural enrichment.
