Design and Modeling/Skilled Trades Teacher

Goddard Middle School is seeking a dedicated, passionate elective teacher for Design and Modeling and Skilled Trades for the 26-27 school year. Design and Modeling (DM) is a PLTW course that provides students opportunities to apply the design process to creatively solve problems individually and in teams. A working knowledge of CAD programming, 3D printers, and the engineering design process is a plus! District training is required. Skilled Trades encompasses a variety of topics such as workshop safety, drafting, woodworking, research and design, and career exploration opportunities related to fields such as plumbing, architecture, engineering, and house flipping. Projects include a mini mini golf course, a toothpick bridge, drywalling, tiling, and a final woodworking project. Students will utilize a variety of machines, including scroll saws and hand tools, to complete these projects. Technology & Engineering endorsement/Praxis required on teaching license.
