Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Requires a bachelors degree in art education from an accredited university and a valid Kansas teaching license and endorsements as required for K-12 arts education. Successful candidate must have the ability to speak clearly and audibly to various groups expressing ideas in a logical and forthright manner; Possess composition skills suitable for producing written communication for a variety of readers; Ability to quickly analyze a situation and provide prompt advice; Ability to manage job responsibilities while meeting established deadlines; and ability to manage job responsibilities while meeting established deadlines. Previous experience in teaching K-12 Art or student-teaching experience is required.
