Special Education School Nurse

Implement school health services to students, based on the childs individualized education program, school-health plan (completed by RN), and/or doctors orders

Provide both formal and informal assessment of student progress toward health goals; provide
frequent reports to school nurse (or other members of IEP team)

Coordinate special education and related services with other members of the IEP team

Assist students in completing activities of daily living

Work with the school nurses (both SKACD and member-district) to complete assigned tasks

Adhere to both SKACD and local district procedures
Participate in required inservice training and continued professional development requirements

Ensure relevant certifications remain in good standing

Establish professional rapport; communicate effectively to members of the school community

Demonstrate reflective practices; explore and advocate for improved service delivery

Complete other duties as assigned by administration of SKACD or assigned school buildings
