Communication and Engagement Specialist

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Communications and Engagement Specialist.

The Communications and Engagement Specialist will create and implement innovative communication strategies to engage students- parents- staff- and the broader community. This role requires a creative thinker passionate about storytelling- skilled in digital and traditional media- and adept at fostering community relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement Communication Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive communication plans to promote district initiatives- events- and achievements.
• Content Creation:  Design engaging and informative content for various platforms- including newsletters- social media- the district website- and press releases.
• Social Media Management: Manage and grow the district’s social media presence by developing compelling content and engaging with the community.
• Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with students- parents- staff- and community members through innovative engagement initiatives and events.
• Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels.
• Event Promotion: Promote district events and activities through various communication channels to maximize participation and support.

Qualifications:

• Creative and Innovative Mindset:
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative communication strategies.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for storytelling.
• Digital Savvy: Proficient in using social media platforms- content management systems- and graphic design tools.
• Experience in Communications: Proven experience in a communications role- preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
• Community Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills and experience in building community relationships.
• Bachelor’s Degree: Communications- Public Relations- Marketing- or a related field preferred.
• Team Player:  Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
