Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging lesson plans in industrial technology including woodworking cabinet-making drafting manufacturing construction and engineering principles.
  • Provide hands-on learning opportunities using industry-standard tools equipment and technology.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment in the classroom and lab settings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology and real-world applications into the curriculum.
  • Support and mentor students in developing technical skills problem-solving abilities and workplace readiness.
  • Maintain and manage tools machinery and materials ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities staff meetings and school activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology Education or a related field (required).
  • Valid teaching license or ability to obtain one in Kansas.
  • Prior teaching or industry experience in industrial technology (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and the ability to teach safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for engaging students in technical and industrial learning.
