The Eudora School District is seeking qualified applicants to fulfill the role of Virtual Monitor.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students in grades 6-12 and adult learners in a virtual environment.

 

In Additions the candidate should possess: 

  1. Bachelor`s degree in Education or related field
  2. Kansas teaching certification for grades 6-12.
  3. Proven experience in virtual teaching and/or familiarity with online learning platforms.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective virtual collaboration.
  5. Technologically proficient with the ability to adapt to new tools and platforms.
  6. Self-motivated and capable of managing time efficiently in a remote work setting.

Some Responsibilities Include: 

 

  1. Curriculum Development: Analyze and Adapt lesson plans and curriculum materials for online delivery ensuring they align with educational standards and objectives. 
  2. Instructional Delivery: Deliver high-quality virtual instruction using various teaching methods and technologies to ensure student engagement and comprehension. Though most instruction is provided through the online curriculum the virtual teacher is responsible for engaging students in interactive activities to enhance learning or assist as needed.
  3. Assessment Grading and Feedback: Implement regular assessments to evaluate student progress and provide timely constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Evaluate student work assignments and assessments to offer timely  constructive feedback and assign grades. Monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement. Ensure student integrity and originality are maintained. 
  4. Individualized Support: Offer individualized support to students addressing their unique learning needs and challenges through virtual communication channels. Provide additional resources or guidance to help students grasp complex concepts.
  5. Classroom Management: Establish and enforce online classroom rules and expectations. Address behavioral issues and maintain a positive and inclusive virtual learning environment. Proctor virtual assessments and monitor virtual sessions to ensure the integrity of virtual learning. 
  6. Parent Involvement: Encourage parental involvement in the virtual learning process. Communicate regularly with parents about student progress challenges and achievements.
  7. Technology Integration: Be proficient in using educational technology tools and platforms. Integrate technology into lessons to enhance the learning experience and keep students engaged.
