The interventionist will help motivate the students to participate in the assigned tasks physical movement and supervision. The interventionist will directly participate in assigned activities. Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge and Abilities SKILLS in maintaining confidentiality. Can work as part of a team. KNOWLEDGE of developmental disabilities in children. Good rapport with parents, children, and staff is essential. Must have a positive attitude regarding individuals with disabilities and be willing to accept individual differences in children. ABILITY to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Work Environment: The usual and customary methods of performing the job`s functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds, some pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. The employee is required to stand (sometimes for extended periods); walk (sometimes for extended distances, ex. Field trips); and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 20% walking, and 70% standing. The job is performed in a generally hazard free environment. Core requirements Experience: Preferred two years of related experience, or post-secondary credentials in one or more of the specials content areas. Education: High School Diploma (Required) Equivalency: Evidence of the ability to collaborate and work with a diverse customer base. We also hire special education administrators to assist schools with planning, training, and supervision all staff and oversee compliance monitoring.
