English Teacher 7-12

The English Language Arts Teacher for grades 7-12 is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction aligned with Kansas College and Career Ready Standards (KCCRS). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Kansas College and Career Ready Standards (KCCRS) for English Language Arts Provide instruction in reading, writing, speaking, listening, language, and literature for students in grades 712 Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, assessments, and technologies, including ITV when applicable Evaluate and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance in accordance with district policies Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to support student success Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and expectations Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and required school activities Supervise students and fulfill assigned duties (e.g., hall, lunch, study hall) as required Comply with all district, state, and federal regulations and policies Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, copies of transcripts, and references to: mhrabe@usd271.com
