Ability to process MIS data and submit the appropriate data to the KSDE based upon strict guidelines and to prepare state and federal MIS reports.

Maintain accurate district data in KSDE Kan-Service based upon strict guidelines.  This involves processing IEP files by updating information in Kan-Service and maintaining confidential files.

Keeps current class rosters for all special education caseloads and distributes as requested per special education staff.

Enter data for incoming and newly identified students.

Attends mandatory state MIS management fall workshops.

Prepare files that are dismissed from services, did not qualify for services, or moved from our district.  Process involves scanning, storing, indexing, retrieving student data.

Request, maintain, and transfer confidential student records in an expedited (within 24-48 hours) and responsible manner to assist with the efficient operation of BCK-SEI.

Archive records for storage.

Ability to schedule maintenance on interlocal vehicles.

Ability to drive the interlocal bus and provide trainings on driving the bus.

Ability to coordinate transportation for the interlocal.

Brown County Kansas Special Education Interlocal #615 provides special education services to students in USD 415, Hiawatha, and USD 430, South Brown County (Horton).  The Interlocal is surrounded by rural communities.  We are located on US 36 and in vicinity of the major communities of Omaha, Kansas City, Topeka, Manhattan, Lawrence and St. Joseph.
