Fine Arts Teacher w/ 4-day week (Full or Part-Time)Argonia USD 359 • www.argonia359.org Argonia USD 359 has an opening for a Fine Arts Teacher for the 2024-25 school year; this could be choral music, instrumental music, art, theatre, or a combination of fine art offerings (full or part-time). The position would be working with students in an elementary building and/or in a JH/HS building; specific classes to be determined once a candidate is selected. Students are on a four-day week with attendance on Tuesday through Friday; teachers attend an average of one Monday per month for in-services or conferences. The district runs a daycare with all staff receiving the benefit of discounted rates. District pays a portion of the KPERS penalty for retired applicants. Coaching and supplemental positions may be available and the district has a successful history working with Transition to Teaching candidates or those desiring to add additional endorsements to their current license.
The district is 1:1 for all 6-12 students, and, being located in Sumner County, all teachers also receive yearly stipends from the Kansas Star Casino to purchase classroom materials.
