Colby Community College is seeking a dynamic, student-focused leader to serve as Head Rodeo Coach and build a competitive, nationally recognized program. The Opportunity

This is a 12-month, full-time, non-faculty position with an anticipated schedule of at least 40 hours per week. Evening, weekend, and travel commitments are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and attract student-athletes to the rodeo program.
  • Coach and mentor competitors to succeed at the regional and national levels.
  • Travel with students for practices and competitions.
  • Oversee care and management of practice livestock and rodeo facilities.
  • Assist with operations at the Colby Community College Farm.
  • Coordinate and host the annual Colby Community College Rodeo.
  • Encourage academic success and community involvement among team members.
Qualifications

  • Associate degree required. Bachelors degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience competing in rodeo required.
  • Previous coaching or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, recruiting, and organizational skills.
If the selected candidate holds an associate degree, the College expects the individual to be on a degree pathway toward a bachelors degree within three years of employment. Obtainment of a bachelors degree will be required for continued employment.

Salary and Benefits

  • $43,200 $54,150 annually, based on experience and education.
