Driver Education Instructor

Through a combination of classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction, the Driver Education Instructor will be responsible for delivering Driver Education courses, teaching students to operate vehicles, and instilling respect for state driving laws and parking regulations. Classroom instruction will take place in the Community Room of the Ida Long Goodman Library. All classroom/driving hours should be completed by August 1st. 

A person must hold a valid standard teaching license in order to add an endorsement for driver education to the license, which then qualifies them to teach driver education in public schools. A teaching license can only be obtained by having completing an approved teacher preparation program - plus any additional licensure requirements such as the licensure assessments.
