Employer Information
Employer Information Altoona-Midway USD 387 School District provides educational services for the towns of Altoona and Buffalo, Kansas, on 75 Highway. This rural community hosts a great location for hunting, fishing and shopping located within a couple of hours from Pittsburg, Tulsa, Wichita, Topeka and Kansas City. We are only minutes from two state fishing lakes and Cross Timbers State Park. Grades PRK - 5th are located in Altoona, Kansas. Grades 6 -12 are situated in the Altoona-Midway location, about 10 miles north of Altoona and about 3 miles south of Buffalo. This is a dynamic school district that provides low student to teacher ratios. Students receive personal attention they can`t get in bigger schools. Relationships between students and staff are more meaningful and therefore lead students to focus and respond to instruction in a constructive manner. USD 387 is looking for professional educators who are committed to making a difference in our young people`s lives. We need positive, forward-thinking individuals who are interested in making this small school district the best in the state of Kansas. Altoona-Midway moved to a four-day school week beginning with the 2023-2024 year.
