Holy Cross Catholic School

As of 2020, Holy Cross Catholic School has an enrollment of 275 students in grades PreK-6.  The school provides two classes at each grade level (K-6) with an average size of 20 students per classroom.  We offer all-day Kindergarten with two full-time teacher aides in Kindergarten.  Holy Cross Catholic School also provides resource teachers for academic support as well as a part-time ESL aide.   Four year old preschool is offered all-day Monday through Friday.  Three year old preschool is offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and afternoons.

Holy Cross is proud of our students’ accomplishments.  Our most recent have been: ·  2009 Governor`s Achievement Award for Academic Excellence ·  Top 5% of Kansas schools on 2009 state assessments ·  2010 Banner School Award for Educational Excellence Wichita Diocese ·  Standard of Excellence on 2010 state assessments and diocesan religion    assessment ·  Over 60% of students Exceeding Standards and more than 25% scoring Exemplary in 2011 · 2012-2013 Wichita Diocese St. Bellarmine Awards in Reading, Science, and Religion, in recognition of academic excellence for scoring "exemplary" as a school in these assessments.

Uniforms are worn by all students in four year old Pre-school – Sixth Grade.  Breakfast and hot lunch is served.

Holy Cross Catholic School is one of 39 Catholic schools in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita.  We currently serve over 300 students in grades Pre-K through sixth. Students continue their Catholic education in grades 7 through 12 at Trinity Catholic Jr/Sr High School.

Holy Cross Catholic School is a parish school supported solely by the stewardship of the over 2000 families registered in our three Catholic parishes.  Catholic families are not charged tuition to attend Holy Cross Catholic School or Trinity Catholic Jr/Sr. High School.  Catholic families participate in the annual parish stewardship renewal as part of their attendance process.  Catholic families with students attending Holy Cross Catholic School are registered members of either Holy Cross, St.Teresa’s or Our Lady of Guadalupe parish.
