Independence Community College

Independence Community College is a Character First organization that provides quality higher education, lifelong learning, economic development, cultural enrichment, and global awareness for its students and community members with two-year degrees and certificates consisting of technical, college preparatory/transfer and community programs. The College is currently rolling out its premier Veterinary Technology program, a state-of-the-art technical program with a $2.4 million investment in equipment and facilities. ICC has initiated continuous quality improvement through the AQIP accreditation process through the Higher Learning Commission, part of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Independence Community College is one of 19 community colleges in the state of Kansas, and one that has seen consistent overall enrollment growth over the past five years. Independence, Kansas is a community of nearly 10,000 residents, situated two hours east of Wichita, 90 minutes north of Tulsa, and two-and-a-half hours south of Kansas City – a quaint city, surrounded by lakes and countryside, yet within an easy drive to major metropolitan areas.
