Woodson School District 366 is a rural school district proudly serving the communities of Neosho Falls, Piqua, Toronto, and Yates Center. There are two attendance centers located in Yates Center with an enrollment of about 400 students.

The Elementary School serves Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade students and the 1A Jr/Sr High School serves seventh through twelfth grade students. Both schools are accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education.

Yates Center is located in southeast Kansas at the junction of US 75 Highway and US 54 Highway. Teachers living in Yates Center are less than two hours away from Kansas City, Wichita, Topeka, Tulsa and Joplin.

The district has high quality administrators, instructors, and professional support staff members serving our students educational needs. Our instructors have been recognized in the state and nation for their professional achievements and contributions to public education. Our buildings have received recognition from the State of Kansas for meeting Standard of Excellence criteria established by using diverse instructional methods and utilizing technology rich classrooms. We are a professional learning community continually striving to create an excellent working environment for all employees and the best educational opportunities possible for our students.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Woodson USD 366 to provide every student with the educational opportunities necessary to live, learn and work in the 21st century. We will provide equitable opportunities for all students to develop the skills necessary to communicate effectively in speaking or writing, to think creatively, to solve problems, and to become technologically literate. We will provide opportunities for students to work individually and with their peers.

Our mission is to also see that a safe and orderly environment is available for all students, to progress emotionally and physically, and to increase their self-esteem.

The faculty, staff, administration, and community will work to make quality learning an attainable goal and to make lifelong learning an important part of each student`s life.
