USD 505 is comprised of the southeast Kansas cities of Chetopa and St. Paul which lie 42 miles apart thus making our district unique in the state. We have an excellent staff, supportive administration, supportive communities, and a board of education dedicated to providing a strong education for our students. All of our schools are fully accredited. District technology is cutting edge: Box Lights are in every room and media center, teacher laptops; all high school students have laptops and the MS students have laptops for classroom use. Chetopa: We are a mid-size 1A school located along the banks of the Neosho River in Labette County in southeast Kansas where many visitors come to fish for catfish and spoonbill. Chetopa Elementary School is recognized as a National ESEA Distinguished School. Chetopa High School has had many state and national qualifiers in areas such as FCCLA, FFA, FBLA, music and scholar bowl. St. Paul: We are a mid-size 1A school located in Neosho County in southeast Kansas 15 miles north of Parsons and 20 miles west of Girard. St. Paul has a 9 hole golf course and a wildlife refuge that is great for hunting and fishing. St. Paul High School has also had many state qualifiers in track, football, volleyball, basketball and cross country. At St. Paul, we boast excellent attendance, graduation, and post-secondary placement rates. St. Paul and its community is well-known for being a supportive educational environment. The community and patrons fully back the school, its academics, activities, staff, and students.
