Dodge City High School Special Education Teacher / Long Term Substitute

The Special Education Teacher will be appropriately licensed as a special education teacher, or be eligible and willing to obtain the appropriate license.

Some highlighted features that SKACD currently offers: 

1. $42,400 base starting salary (expected to rise for 2020-2021)
2. $3,000 signing bonus
3. $4,000 annual stipend for fully endorsed SPED teachers
4. 100% paid masters degree in special education
5. $10,000 towards student loan repayment ($1,000 per semester)
6. "New Teacher Mentor" Program who will guide you through your first year of employment with SKACD.  This is especially helpful for all teachers who are new to working in special education.

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible to work with special education students and their regular education teachers to allow them to access the general curriculum in the least restrictive environment. They will also write IEPs, attend and/or run IEP meetings, and other duties that will benefit their special education students.
