Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Health Science Teacher with the option to lead optional Weights Programs. This position involves teaching health science courses to high school students while providing the opportunity to implement and oversee optional weights programs aimed at promoting physical fitness and wellness among students. Ideal candidate is either certified in Biology or Physical Science. Responsibilities: Health Science Instruction: - Develop and deliver comprehensive health science curriculum aligned with state standards and educational goals.
- Engage students in interactive and hands-on learning experiences to promote understanding of health-related topics, including nutrition, anatomy, physiology, and disease prevention.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and foster a positive learning environment conducive to academic success.
Weights Programs Leadership (Optional): - Design and implement optional weights programs aimed at improving physical fitness, strength, and overall wellness among students.
- Provide guidance and instruction on proper weightlifting techniques, exercise routines, and fitness principles.
- Monitor student progress and provide individualized support and encouragement to help students achieve their fitness goals.
Assessment and Evaluation: - Assess student learning and progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, projects, and performance evaluations.
- Use assessment data to inform instructional practices and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
Classroom Management: - Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to promote student engagement, participation, and accountability.
Collaboration: - Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and other stakeholders to support a cohesive and integrated approach to health education.
- Participate in department meetings, professional development activities, and school-wide initiatives aimed at promoting student success and well-being.

Salary Information
As per negotiate agreement. Base salary $45,000

USD 335 serves students from the towns of Circleville, Netawaka, Soldier and Whiting. The district averages 390 students P-12 in an elementary school and high/middle school which are located just 40 minutes north of Topeka.
