Agriculture Teacher

Wallace County High School is seeking applications for a high school Agriculture teacher.  The teacher will be able to select courses and content for the agriculture department.  FFA sponsorship is a possibility as well as other activity sponsorships.  

 


 Wallace County Schools is a small Western Kansas school that is the center of an agriculture-based community.  Our family-friendly atmosphere offers small class sizes and ample opportunities for students to get involved in many activities.  The staff at Wallace County Schools is dedicated to student achievement as well as developing skills for lifelong learning.  Wallace County Schools offers a competitive salary with a fringe benefit.

Students in our district have opportunities for the Kansas Regents curriculum, career and technical education, college courses, and core curriculum.  Our state assessment scores rank us at the top of the state.  Our state awards indicate we exceed in postsecondary success, graduation rate, and academically prepared for postsecondary.

The K-12 enrollment is around 200 students. Grades 6-12 have 1:1 technology while the K-5 have iPads for their technology needs.  Students` activities include volleyball, cross country, football, basketball, track and field, golf, NHS, Scholar’s Bowl, Forensics, cheerleading, pep band, and vocal.

Sharon Springs is located close to the front range of Colorado with ample entertainment and amenities just a few hours away.  Wallace County Schools provides opportunities for starting or continuing a teaching career in a caring, inviting environment.
