SUMMARY:     This 12 month, full-time, exempt position is responsible for the overall technological operations of the district, including development, education, and facilitation of the districts endeavors.     

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:     Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Creates the districts technological strategic plans.
  2. Directs program installation and maintenance; hardware setup and relocation; and the setting up of the LAN/WAN for file and print servers, email, and internet.
  3. Reviews and evaluates district software.
  4. Coordinates the purchase of district hardware and software.
  5. Responsible for technology site licenses and copyright laws, coordinating material usage across the district.
  6. Develops the district software library.
  7. Manage and prioritize the day-to-day technology plans.
  8. Assists staff in reviewing, evaluating, and selecting educational technology to enhance curriculum.
  9. Reviews the performance and directs the actions of the technology department.
