Computer/Business Teacher on 4-day week

Argonia USD 359 has an opening for a 7th-12th Computer/Business Teacher for the 2023-24 school year.  Current classes taught include middle school computer apps up through high school CTE courses; however, the courses may change based on enrollment and teacher preferences.

Students are on a four-day week with attendance on Tuesday through Friday; teachers also attend an average of one Monday per month for in-services or conferences.

District pays a portion of the KPERS penalty for retired applicants.

All candidates must submit the information listed below:

• a letter of interest,  
• a current resume,
• a list of references,
• a copy of your current Kansas teaching license or prove your ability to obtain a Kansas license by August 1, 2023,
• a completed application (either the KEEB online application or the district`s application)

Coaching and supplemental positions may be available and the district has a successful history working with Transition to Teaching candidates or those desiring to add additional endorsements to their current license.

The district is 1:1 for all 6-12 students, and, being located in Sumner County, all teachers also receive yearly stipends from the Kansas Star Casino to purchase classroom materials.
