Elementary Title 1/Elementary Physical Education teacher

Coordinate and facilitate school-wide tiered systems of support. Provide support to teachers and provide strategies to improve instruction that will support literacy and math growth across the curriculum.

Review student achievement and assist with placing students in appropriate reading intervention and support services. 

Manage research-based interventions and prepare lesson plans as needed for interventions.  

Teach targeted literacy and math interventions to small groups of students daily using research-based strategies and resources. 

Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, students, parents, and the community.  

Maintain and update student achievement data using benchmark screenings and progress monitoring, including FastBridge, in order to evaluate levels and targeted interventions. 

Assist teachers in the use of assessment data to guide and differentiate instruction.

Collaborates with teachers to plan literacy or math instruction that correlates with the individual students needs or as requested by the classroom teacher.

Acts as a resource for the student intervention team in analyzing and determining academic needs and providing interventions to students.

  Plan and deliver engaging lessons that include a variety of physical activities, games, and sports to accommodate students of different skill levels and interests.

Assess students' progress and skill development through observation, performance evaluations, and other assessment methods. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and achieve their fitness goals.

Ensure the safety of students during physical education activities by enforcing rules, supervising activities, and maintaining proper equipment and facilities.

Educate students about the benefits of regular physical activity, proper nutrition, injury prevention, and other aspects of healthy living.

Salary Information

$44,400 Annual Base Salary.  Placement dependent on experience.
