We are seeking an individual committed to elevating the College of Fine Arts by managing scholarship opportunities that turn aspirations into achievements. In this role you will oversee more than 260 scholarships, tracking the administering of both new awards and renewals, and ensuring these opportunities are accurately assigned and effectively marketed.

Collaborate with Deans office staff, faculty, directors, WSU Foundation and other crucial stakeholders about awards. Attention to detail is needed to ensure the auditioning students meet criteria and be informed of additional opportunities for which they may be eligible. Manage the tracking of scholarships and recipients lifecycle within WSU. Focusing on details is important in more ways than just awarding scholarships, you will also assist in annual donor/giving events as well as oversight of graduate assistantships for the college. Maintain clear and professional communication with a diverse community of stakeholders, faculty, and students, tailoring interactions to suit various contexts and needs. Your engagement with these individuals illustrates the passion the College has regarding their involvement in fine arts.

Summary of Responsibilities 
Coordinates scholarship program communications and fund administration. Oversees participant benefits, program coordination, and assists with student recruitment and/or marketing.

Essential Functions 

  1. Coordinates with related departments to facilitate recruitment, outreach, and/or marketing of related programs and services. May lead staff in the design and implementation of communications and educational content.
  2. Monitors compliance with program rules and regulations, provides status updates, and monitors student academic progress as required.
  3. Oversees communications efforts for projects, campaigns, events, programs and/or services. Collaborates with University staff and students to foster academic success.
  4. Oversees program eligibility and distributes awarded funds as appropriate. Monitors records and develops reports.

Minimum Education 
Bachelors degree in related field by hire date

Minimum Experience 
One (1) year of experience in student programming or related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  1. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  2. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  3. Experience with detail-oriented/time sensitive tasks and confidential information/protocols in an academic and/or business setting.
  4. Demonstrated proficiency with current office technology and systems: Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel).
  5. Ability to work and interact with diverse populations and communities.
