Lower School Music Teacher

Christ the King Catholic School in Kansas City, Kansas seeks a skilled music educator to teach beginning in Fall 2023. The ideal applicant will grasp how a musically literate culture is foundational for the cultivation of beauty and the worship of God. Educators who seek to shape students in both wisdom and virtue, and who share the belief that music and aesthetics play an integral part in the content of a Catholic liberal arts education should apply. Salary is commensurate with the qualifications of the applicant.

Experience with the Ward Method is highly desirable; if not already certified, the candidate should be willing to receive Ward 1 certification in the summer of 2023. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Catholic liberal arts education and be a skilled musician. The position is presently part-time; however, a full-time position may be available given skill in other teaching areas, ability to sing or play for parish Masses, or directing choral rehearsals in assisting the Director of Formation in Sacred Music.
