JOB GOAL:  To plan for, teach and provide instruction that will enable each student to master social and academic skills appropriate to age, grade level, language proficiency and individual capacity. Sheltered instruction is an approach for teaching content (math) to Emergent bilinguals in strategic ways that make the subject matter concepts comprehensible while promoting the students' English language development.  This position will incorporate students' existing skills and knowledge to facilitate connections to grade-level (math) concepts with the use of content and language-specific objectives.
