Smoky Hill Education Service Center is seeking a Science Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year for its program at Lawrence-Gardener High School in Topeka, Kansas.  The ideal candidate for this position would be a highly effective teacher, holding a Kansas teaching license with certification in science. However, LGHS will consider other candidates who are working toward licensure.

LGHS, a Kansas-accredited high school on the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex (KJCC) campus, is in Topeka, Kansas. Teachers and staff work with students from across Kansas who are temporary residents of KJCC to earn a high school diploma or their GED. Our professional staff works diligently to provide our youth with the best educational opportunities, while paying attention to their SECD (Social Emotional Character Development) skills. In addition, we offer students the opportunity to earn certifications through Washburn Institute of Technology.

Requirements for this position:
Valid Kansas teaching license, in the process of obtaining licensure for the content area desired.
