Daycare Aide

Crest Unified School District No. 479 is seeking applicants for the position of Daycare Aide.

Responsibilities for this position will include the following:

         Assist the Daycare Director in the operation of the daycare

         Attend in-service as required.

         Supervise children and other areas as directed.

         Adhere to the plan of communication outlined for use between daycare staff and childs family. 

         Attend to the physical and emotional needs of children; meals and snacks as scheduled.

         Prepare materials and supplies for use.

         Obtain materials and resources through processes outlined by the Daycare Director.

         Communicate effectively with administrators, parents, staff, and community.

         Appropriately operate all equipment related to specific job tasks.

         Attend general staff meetings as required.

         Comply with all Grant requirements.

         Uphold and enforce board policy, administrative procedures, and school rules/regulations including but not limited to:

o   Child abuse reporting

o   Health and safety

Qualifications:

         High school diploma or equivalent

         Meet KDHE qualifications for a Daycare Aide

         Successfully pass CPR Training (every two years)

The creation of this position is being funded initially by a grant, with the goal of becoming self-sufficient after three years.

Daycare is hosted off-site within the city of Colony.
