Elementary Teaching position - 5th Grade ELA

Southeast of Saline is taking applications for Elementary Teacher.  There may be flexibility in the assignment due to internal transfers, current configuration is for 5th grade ELA. 

Southeast of Saline boasts an exceptional educational environment as evidenced by staff longevity.  Of 24 elementary classroom teachers, ten have over 20 years of experience with six having more than 20 years in our district.

Southeast is in a K-12 building making it easy for elementary teachers to coach or sponsor secondary sports or activities. 

Current openings include Varsity VB, various assistant level coaching, and several sponsorships.

Southeast of Saline is located about 15 miles outside of Salina on Hwy K-4.  We are a K-12 building located on a hill halfway between the small towns of Gypsum and Assaria.  We absolutely love the K-12 setting as we have K-12 collaboration of teachers and students.  We are a 3A district with about 45-55 in each grade level (3 sections).  The Salina area is a great location with shopping and food and entertainment typically found in much larger cities.  Please refer to our accountability report to see a 99% five year average for graduation and gold stars for Postsecondary Success, Graduation, and Civic Engagement.  ACT score is over a point higher than the state average.
