Title: Head Wrestling Coach   

 

Reports to:  Athletics Director

 

Qualifications: Certified teacher or qualify for Rule 10 certification through the Kansas State High School Activities Association. 

 

Purpose and Objectives of the Position:

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Athletics and the general supervision of the building principal- the head wrestling coach is responsible for promoting a wrestling program in which the student can excel to his full potential while competing in an atmosphere that adds to his total education including his physical well being- moral character and social and mental development.  

 

Position assists in weigh-ins- supervises the cleaning of mats- and aids in the setting up of mats for wrestling practices.  Acts as a liaison person in relating the district wrestling program to the staff- administration- general public- and the local news media.  Develops and administers a continuous off-season conditioning and recruitment

program.

 

Pre-Employment/Yearly Requirements: Employee shall meet all the pre-employment and yearly requirements as specified in the Policies of the Board of Education.

 

Term of Employment: Varies by Sport


Salary: Stipend- based on the USD #453 Supplemental Schedule


FLSA Status: Non - Exempt


Evaluation: Performance effectiveness will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of Board of Education Policy.
