Web & Digital Communication/Technology Teacher - Burlington High School

USD #244 Burlington High School is looking for a dynamic Web & Digital Communication/Technology teacher who thrives at working to create a student-centered and interactive learning environment. Experience in film and video production, editing, cinematography techniques, photography, editing, graphic design, and visual communication strategies along with theatre production is helpful but not required. The following software knowledge is utilized in the courses offered:

Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop

Canva

Prezi

Premiere

WIX

PowToon

PowerPoint

Animate

Photoshop

Game Design programs

This position provides a rigorous curriculum that aligns with the Kansas Department of Educations CTE Career Competencies.

Courses taught may include: Interactive Media, Publications, Graphic Design, Digital Media Production and Game Design

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.               Valid building-level/subject area license issued by the Kansas State Board of Education,

a.        Degree in subject (may include:  Business Education, Computer Studies, Technology Education, Library Media, journalism, or professional license with verifiable computer training)

OR

b.        Related Work Experience and Skill Expertise

2.               Work cooperatively and constructively with others, including the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.

3.               Manage job responsibilities and meet the established district outcomes.

4.               Use district-identified computer hardware and software, and other district-provided technology as needed.

5.               Ability to physically adapt to the compressed time schedule of a school day and year.

6.               Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the Central Office (after employment offer is made).
