Minimum Qualifications: - Excellent English skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to relate well with elementary students and building staff.
- A thorough knowledge of relevant computer software and the willingness to troubleshoot technical problems of a tourine nature (i.e. e-mail, word processing, basic networking, printing).
- Demonstrated willingness to follow and uphold procedures related to the established USD 490 "Acceptable Use" guidlines and technology standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift, carry and place objects of various size and weight. (minimum of 25 lbs.).
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file.
Essential Functions: - Routine organizational and management tasks of the computer lab.?
- Maintain a safe and secure computer lab for all parties concerened.
- Assist with the distribution, use and security of instructional technology under the direction of the district`s Technology Director.
- Proactively maintains an orderly, focused learning enviornment given that up to 25 students working on a variety of projects may be using the computer lab at any one time.
- Assist students in completion of tasks while in the Computer Lab.
- Provide appropriate student reports to teachers and building and district administrators as needed.
- Perform general clerical duties related to the position such as contacting technical services when difficulties aarise, etc.
- Assist in giving instructions in the use of standard software applications, in context and as required by the building principal and/or district technology director.
- Attends appropriate training to improve job understanding and skills as determined by the district`s Technology and Curriculum Directors.
- Assist building staff and perform other job related duties of comparable importanace, difficulty and responsibility as required (i.e. on-line assessments, software training, troubleshooting, etc).
- Is present in the lab to supervise students.
- Maintain additional mobile computer labs in assigned building.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
- Requires prolonged sitting or standing, and use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, intense work environment.
- Must occasionally work in noisy and crowded environments, with numerous interruptions.
