The district has a childcare center on site.

First year teaching salary was $43,000 plus benefits for the 2023-2024 school year. Negotiations are in process for 2024-2025 school year. Salary is based upon additional learning and experience. Supplemental coaching positions and/or sponsorships may be available.

Secondary students have the opportunity to earn dual credits through Allen Community College as it is located on the Burlingame campus. Students also have the opportunity to attend and earn a technical degree from Washburn Technical School due to a partnership between the Burlingame School District and Washburn Technical School located in Topeka, Kansas.

Instructionally, the Burlingame School District hires and maintains a staff of highly quality teachers and administrators. Class sizes are small ranging from ten to seventeen students, and students perform above the state average in the core areas of reading and math.
