Southern Cloud will going to a 4 day week next year. Candidates should have or be eligible for a Kansas teaching license to teach elementary. USD 334 pays employees single BC/BS health insurance policy. In addition, optional dental, KPERS, Cafeteria Plan and paid leave benefits are available.

Salary Information

Salary will be per negotiated agreement. USD 334 gives full credit for years of teaching experience upon initial placement.

The Southern Cloud USD 334 is located in Southern Cloud County and provides instruction to approximately 125 students. The district includes the following schools: Miltonvale Elementary (Grades K-6), Glasco Elementary (Grades K-8), Glasco High School (Grades 9-12), and Miltonvale Junior-Senior High School (Grades 7-12).

Southern Cloud serves the communities of Glasco and Miltonvale which is located on Hwy 24. 

Southern Cloud went to a 4 Day Week in 2023-2024.

Southern Cloud schools are located about 45 minutes north of Salina where Kansas Wesleyan & Kansas State Technology College is located, about 25 minutes south from Concordia where Cloud County Community College is located & about 20 minutes east of Beloit where the North Central Technical College is located.

Waconda Lake is 45 miles west and Milford Reservoir is 35 miles east. The county has excellent agricultural property and offers many hunting and fishing opportunities. 

Our district has set goals to promote academic excellence, increase student achievement in local and state testing. We continue to develop strategies and improve programs, and to use technology and innovation ideas to increase technology and innovative ideas to increase educational opportunities.

Academically, we offer our students Art, Spanish, Industrial Arts/Vocational Agriculture, Journalism, Band, Vocal, Business, Computers, and all the core academic areas to complete for Kansas Regents Qualifications and Scholars. We do offer college dual credit courses for our Juniors and Seniors from Cloud County Community College.

Our high school students have a variety of activities available to them including, FFA, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Track & Field, Golf, Scholars Bowl, and Trap Shooting Team.
