HS Girls Basketball CoachThomas More Prep-Marian • www.tmp-m.org Head girls basketball coach and teacher needed for Thomas More Prep-Marian High School (2A co-ed Catholic school in Hays, KS). Full- or part-time teaching positions available depending on certification. First and foremost, a successful candidate will be a teacher of young women, helping them develop Christlike attributes in all areas of their lives. Coaching experience at the high school level or beyond is required. Head coaching experience at the high school level or beyond is preferred. The Monarch girls basketball team plays in historic Al Billinger Fieldhouse (built 1950). TMP-M competes in the Mid-Continent League. A history of successful implementation and management of a sports program is a must. This may include weights and conditioning as well as a basketball team. The successful candidate, along with school administration, will have control in the hiring of the assistant coaches. Candidate must be a strong communicator. Experience in dealing with media, parents and organizing public events are strongly recommended. Situated in western Kansas, Hays is a regional hub with a population of 25,000, a four-year university, a two-year technical college, and numerous arts and entertainment opportunities. TMP-Marian dates back to 1908 and has been a co-educational high school since 1981. The school added grades 7 & 8 in 2012 and 6th grade in 2023.
