Summary of Responsibilities 
Assists the head coach with daily activities of assigned sports program, which may include recruiting, training, coaching, scheduling, academics, retention, program development and fundraising.

Essential Functions 

1. Coaches and oversees one (1) or more functional aspects of team administrative management and/or programs.
2. Assists with academics and retention of student athletes, ensuring adherence to University standards.
3. Interacts with donors and assists with fundraising and booster club activities. Communicates with media relations.
4. Monitors student performance and maintains student athlete records.
5. Manages financial transactions for recruiting visits.
6. Monitors budgets related to assigned programs and recruiting visit expenditures. Reconciles monthly statements and billings, and provides team financial reports.

Minimum Education 
Bachelors degree in related field by hire date

Minimum Experience 
One (1) year of experience in collegiate level coaching

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

1. Plan & run practices and workout for student athletes.
2. Recruiting track and field student athletes.
3. Experience in coaching in multiple track & field event areas, especially pole vaulting.
