USD 481 Rural Vista is seeking a secondary Science teacher for the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year in Hope, Kansas. This position currently teaches 8th-grade Science, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy. Must have a valid teaching license. Rural Vista athletics, CO-OP between White City and Hope, will also have a number of coaching positions available including High School Assistant Football, Jr High Football positions, High School Boys Assistant Basketball, Jr High Assistant Volleyball, as well as other opportunities in Track, Class sponsors, Stucco, and Scholars Bowl. Newly hired teachers may choose to have their salaries divided into 13 payments, so they receive their first paycheck on August 15th.
Benefits Information We currently offer $485 towards a single health plan through Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The district also provides 12 days a year for sick or personal leave plus an additional 3 professional days of your choice. Hope and White City schools are in a cooperative agreement for all athletic teams including; Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Track and Scholars Bowl. The Rural Vista Heat is a member of the Wheat State League. Both boys and girls teams have had tremendous success since the co-op began just over 10 years ago, with multiple State tournament berths.
