Benefits Information Full-time teachers are eligible for $540 a month towards a single health insurance policy including dental and $740 a month on all policies beyond a single. They offer a comprehensive Section 125 benefit package as well as sick, personal, professional, and bereavement leave as per the negotiated agreement.
Salary Information Salary is 11.5% of placement on the schedule. Currently, the starting rate is $5,088 but could increase based on experience.
Employer Information USD 461 Neodesha is a 3A school district located in Southeast Kansas. This progressive community has approximately 2,500 citizens and is located on Highway 75 in Wilson County. Classes are held in a PK-3 facility, a 4-6 facility, and a 7-12 facility. Renovations to all three buildings were completed in 2001. The current district enrollment is approximately 700 students. Neodesha has several supportive education foundations for students and staff. USD 461 provides a quality education for all of our students. We are currently participating in the Gemini II Kansans Can School Redesign Project and KESA.
The Neodesha Promise Scholarship Program is designed to enhance Neodesha students preparation for successfully completing their chosen secondary education path. The Promise will cover tuition and mandatory fees for up to 120 credit hours for a Bachelors/60 hours for an Associates Degree and/or Technical Certificate at any Pell Grant approved institution, for students who live within the district boundaries.
