The district contributes toward a single premium within the district provided health insurance plan (District contribution may be applied plans-employees/spouse family etc.) The district contribution will be determined through the negotiation process. Currently employees opting out of the district provided insurance plans will receive $104.17 per month that may be used for the purchase of Section 125 plan or they make the $104.17 as cash. (Taxable) The District provides a 2% salary increase (added to the salary and paid to faculty who live within USD 291 boundaries.)

Based on education and experience as per negotiated agreement.

USD #291 Grinnell serves students Pre-K through 8th grade at Grinnell Grade School and Grinnell Middle School. Our high school students attend Wheatland High School and USD #292`s middle school students attend Grinnell Middle School.  Our 1A school district is very proud of our academic success and our advances in technology. Primarily a rural district, Grinnell is nestled on the western plains of Kansas, located along Interstate 70 just 85 miles east of the Kansas/Colorado border.
