Elementary Principal - Cottonwood Elementary School

Paola School District is seeking an elementary school principal at Cottonwood Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year.  Cottonwood Elementary supports grades PreK-2 and enrolls approximately 450 students. 

Qualifications include:

• -School administration licensure or the ability to obtain one by August 1st, 2024
• -Strong interpersonal skills necessary for working effectively with students, staff, administration, and parents
• -Ability to develop and manage a building budget
• -Ability to lead a strong educational staff to ensure the success of all students. 
• -A desire to develop students and inspire a life-long passion for learning
• -Ability to align curriculum to the District`s vision and core values set by the Board of Education
• -Ability to oversee Kindergarten readiness and implement district goals as part of Kansas  Education Systems Accreditation
• -Elementary building administration experience is preferred

Initial review of applications is scheduled to occur Thursday, February 29th and interviews are anticipated to be scheduled the week of March 3rd - 9th.  Please include a copy of your transcript and building level license with your application.
