Kansas Learning Network Implementation Coach

Purpose: The Kansas Learning Network is part of the Kansas Technical Assistance Support Network (TASN), funded by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) and administered by Southwest Plains Regional Service Center.

Implementation Coaches of the Kansas Learning Network will work directly with schools and districts identified by the KSDE.  The focus of the work will be to support eligible schools designated as Intensive Support and Improvement (ISI), Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI), Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) and Additional Targeted Support (ATS).  The KLN Implementation Coach collaborates directly school leadership teams and their respective district leadership team members to uncover root causes, create action plans focused on the implementation of evidence-based practices, and to create sustainable changes to improve their system for all students. 

Qualifications:

  • Collaborator
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Educational data analysis
  • Educational leadership experience (administrator, district leadership team, building leadership team, instructional coaching experience, etc.)
  • Instructional coaching at the individual, small team, and/or system level
  • Proven skills and experience in guiding a facilitating groups
  • Strong technology skills with a variety of 21st century communication platforms
  • Master`s Degree (or higher) in Education or Related Field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Title I schools, High Schools, or Virtual Schools
  • Foundational understanding of implementation science and the stages of implementation
  • Special Education expertise
  • Knowledge and application of a tiered system of supports
  • Experience evaluating, initiating, and scaling up the use of evidence-based practices
  • Experience delivering professional learning
  • Kansas license to work in schools

Salary Information

Year round (260 days) starting base salary $80,000.
